Sunday Ramblings

Only one day left of our long weekend. Every year it seems like these long weekends go by faster and faster. Kris will be leaving tomorrow morning some time and Harvey and I will be on our own once again. I really miss having a houseful of people and the boys friends over all the time. I guess those days are pretty much gone and I will be grateful for the short visits that they both spend with us.

Speaking of visits or holidays, Harvey and I booked a lovely trip for three weeks all told starting September 16th.  We arranged it so that the garden will be processed, and my plants and flowers will be coming to an end.

We are off to the UK for a wonderful tour!!! I will get to see places where my Great Grandfather on my mother's side lived and saw. Harvey is really looking forward to seeing all the old buildings and places he has only read about in history books.

Hopefully we will have another trip next year to Germany or maybe Italy as Harv has always been interested in the history of that area.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless

  1. I know you will have a wonderful! Europe is on our bucket list as well and hopefully we'll make it there sooner rather than later.

  2. Hubby and I are off to UK and Europe on the 15th March for almost 6 weeks. We are going to Edinburgh for the military tattoo which is something my dad loved to watch on tv, then we are off the Europe.
I want to visit the war memorial and museum at Ypres and Flanders on our way to Milan for the Grand Prix (hubby's break from all that "boring" stuff).
In between we will see as much as possible as we will hire a car in Edinburgh and drive ourselves. We did this last time we went to the UK and it was fantastic. I know you will have an awesome time and the history of that part of the world is amazing.
