The tomato harvest has begun. Ripe, red, juicy, full of flavour!!!! I can see lots of toasted tomato sandwiches in our future. I can also see lots of tomatoes frozen to add the same type of end of summer taste in meals this winter.

I am jealous. We've had very few tomatoes ripen this year, maybe 2 dozen. That's pretty pitiful considering I planted 24 plants.
ReplyDeleteOur tomatoes are very slow to ripen this year. I think it is because the weather has not been very good.
ReplyDeleteMy eggplant are small, and the peppers are tiny compared to how big they usually get as well.
My cucumbers seem to be pretty much done so it is a good thing I did not plan on making dills this year. I still have plenty from last years canning session.
