Sunday Ramblings

This was our gospel this Sunday at Mass. All about giving everything you have in service to God. So many times we hang on to things that we really do not need causing our relationship with Jesus and God to be strained.

Over the past few months, more and more on my Facebook page, people have been posting that we no longer allow God in our schools. I have been lucky in that I work in the Catholic system where prayer and the physical presence of God can be easily found. My children always attended these schools as well.

But what about the Public system?

I truly believe that God is there as well. He is there in the singing of the Canadian national anthem. After all we do sing "God keep our land." He is there in every teacher and all the support staff that work with our children, giving them help when they need it, encouraging them to greater heights. He is there in the anti bully campaigns, in the raising money for the Terry Fox Run, or putting together shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

God is there in the coaches that give up time with their families to help students get better in their chosen sport.

God is there in the parents who work to make schools a better place, by raising funds to buy necessary equipment and to make sure all children have what they need.

Most of all God is within every person that is in the schools. All you have to do is look into the faces that surround you. After all we are made in His image and likeness.

This is what I believe and I hope I have given you a new outlook on where God is.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

God bless.
