Weather Change

Weather here on the prairies of Canada is nothing if not unpredictable. The old rule of thumb is to not plant gardens or bedding plants before the Victoria Day weekend, because we are bound to get a frost. This year is no different, and all I can say is thank goodness none of the veggies Harvey planted are breaking through the soil. We will be going below freezing for a few nights and then up again to the mid teens during the day and above freezing temperatures for the nights.

I am a bit concerned about my cherry trees. They are loaded with blossoms again this year and I hope the frost doesn't do too much damage.

I am also happy that I did not plant the few flowers I bought. Last night we moved them from the deck into the house. Some friends of mine planted theirs during the hot weather we got late last week and on Saturday. I think they might now be wishing they had waited!

Thought I would share the plants I have managed to get so far.

Can you see the colour scheme I am working towards. I still have to pick up a few more, but I am hopeful of finding what I need this week.

Now because these flowers, and larger veggies are in my hall way, I have had to give up my spring cleaning for a bit. I, plan on starting that up again next week when the weather once again changes for the better.

Some of my lovely smellies. Kris bought some lovely candles for me for Mother's Day. I have one burning so it isn't in the picture.

Harvey got me a bead to put on the free Pandora bracelet I got. Boy those are hard to put on, and get the bracelet closed.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
