Perhaps the thriftiest thing I have done since my last post is spend time making sure all leftovers are used up. Amazingly I have managed to get two full meals from leftovers saving on the grocery budget, and still feeding us very well. By using up leftovers I stay out of stores making it easy to save money for what we feel is important. Someone might say it is only a dollar or two we manage to save, but those dollars add up and eventually become enough to take a trip, buy a new furnace, or fix up the basement.
Never let someone say that the little things you don't make a difference cause they do.

My faith is a source of comfort and joy. It makes me who I am.
These help me to "glance" at lovely fabrics, yarns and of course my loving husband. However Harvey would probably say they help me give him the "look".

My grandparents who never gave up no matter how hard things became for them. I am sure raising families during the 30's was not an easy task.
