Here are a few more photos from our trip.
Our first hike was to the marsh area. We have hiked this area all three times that we have visited this park. It is nice to see all the changes from the first time we visit. I had never seen cat tails go to seed so I just had to take a photo.
The water was very still and I loved the new lookout where almost the entire marsh could be seen.
After our visit to the marsh we traveled to another area that we visit every time we go. The historic East Gate. The park service is still working on some of the buildings but the original gate has almost been totally renovated and reinforced.
Once again Blogger is causing me problems so I will cut short our first full day and post a few more pictures on Saturday.

ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to be 103 as a high but Monday we're dropping down to the 60's with a 50% chance of rain. I hope this means, California is going to have a healthy rainy season.
A very pretty spot! Glad to hear you didn't get the rain you're getting now. The sun is finally out here...at least for a few days!
