The we drove past various sites in the city. If I have one complaint it is that we didn't get enough time to take pictures of Hospital Row, the University and other such sights. Part of the reason for that could have been because of construction.
We finally managed to get a stop at Nathan Phillips Square after some big circles around it.
A picture of the Peace Arches.
I just love the way this is called "New City Hall" considering it was built before I moved away from Toronto.
All the people there were attending a Unifor speech before heading out to march in the Labour Day Parade.
Next a few pictures of things we whizzed by.
A couple more from Nathan Phillips Square.
We were then taken to the CN Tower for lunch. Loved seeing the landscape change as the restaurant rotated.
You can just make out Billy Bishop Airport on the right side.
After this we were on our own for the afternoon. We ended up taking a long walk on the boardwalk, walking down Yonge Street and doing some window shopping.
Thus ended the first real day of the tour.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
Dear Jackie, your photos are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely tour! God bless you, dear friend, have a wonder filled evening and weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the tour showed a lot of the iconic sights of the city.
ReplyDeleteOh, what beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI was able to click on the photo and read the description for the name of the park. What a tragic loss and very befitting to name the park after her for her bravery.
How neat to sit and eat in a rotating restaurant!
Your photos are stunning Jackie. And just look at that gorgeous blue sky. You must've had great weather while you were away. xx
ReplyDeleteLooks a beautiful city, it's hard to take it in when there is so much to see.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you enjoyed yourself.
ReplyDeleteBusy day! I've never truly visited Toronto. It just seems so big. The photos by the water are especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, such fun.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and I'm sure you had a wonderful time in the revolving restaurant. We had that experience a couple of times, always fun to see the slowly changing scenery as you are eating and chatting.
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never. Oh, what a beautiful city Toronto is - I've never been there. Those revolving restaurants are pretty cool.
