Saturday Roundup

Thought I would share what I have gotten done so far this past week.

Just one bag of the Cabbage bread I made this week.

The batch of lentil curry for the freezer, and the stew of which after having a meal the rest was put into the freezer.

Some dry mixes for the Christmas gift baskets.

The finished dishcloths to take the place of those I put in the Christmas gift baskets and those that replaced the ones I use for dishwashing.

The embroidery, and the beginnings of the double oven mitts. Well the first double oven mitt. I am hopeful of getting those two projects done by the end of the month.

Forgot to add my new mantra for the rest of the year and probably into next year as well.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

  4. I love the mantra and think that we should all embrace the sentiment more than we actually do. Your gift baskets will be lovely Jackie.

  5. I like the oven mitt fabric print. I picked up some fabric yesterday, at a yard sale, to use for my large casserole hot pads I want to make as Christmas gifts. I like the idea of the dry mixes in the Christmas baskets. I think taco seasoning would be a good one to add.

  6. I love that mantra!! I've been knitting altogether too many (!) kitchen scrubbies which my family prefers over the dishcloths. Son # 2 requests 12 of them every year and now #1 son has climbed on the same wagon and wants 6, plus the Resident Chef has put in his order for some new ones.

  7. Freezer soup and meal plan of any kind for the win! Friday evening when I got home from the market, I washed and parted out the produce and I just love that part of it. And having goodies ready to eat from the freezer. So good!
