Tuesday Tidbits and Stuff

We are having a lovely warm up, things are getting pretty mushy out there. That will probably cause a problem when the temperature drops next week. I have a feeling things could be a bit bumpy and icy.

Just been working around the house decluttering (now up to 100 items leaving or left the house), using things up and enjoying the quiet that winter seems to bring.

We are still hoping to get up and see Kris as well as pick up my repaired sewing machine very soon. Perhaps if I can convince Harvey even this weekend as the weather the weekend after is supposed to be frigid. We shall see.

Paid bills today, and transferred some money around. Into savings to build that up a bit more. I know there is probably enough in that account right now to mostly pay for our cruise (no spending cash though), but I begin to feel a bit lost if there is not a goodly amount in savings.

Working on a sewing project.

A new nightgown, and next up will be a knit fabric sweater jacket. Both should be done relatively quickly. In fact if the collar goes right on the nightgown it should be done early tomorrow.

For the first time ever I had a troll comment. Never had one of those before. I did post it for awhile, but then thought if the person was not going to use their real name it wasn't worth it and removed it from the comment section.

Please, if something is happening on Blogger that makes you post as Anonymous post your name as well. I know Hawaii Planner always does, and some who realize later come back and post that it was them.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. I had a troll making very nasty comments before - and I delete as soon as I see them. I truly don't know why people can't just be nice.
You are doing great on decluttering.

  2. I love to save money. The problem is it kills me to withdraw the funds. I do, but it hurts. 🙄

  3. 100 things! Woohoooooooo! Great kick-off to the new year! Hope you get to see Kris. Sorry about the spam. I got a few from one "person" don't even know if they are real and I see them on a bunch of other blogs too. No thank you. Delete. Delete. Delete.

  4. Gosh 100 things is wonderful Jackie - well done. Yes I've had the trolls before too - I think lots of bloggers find this happens. xx

  5. I'm like you, in that I like to have a certain amount in savings at all times. When I spend some I try to catch it up as quickly as possible.
I do hope you're able to get to the city for a quick visit with Kris.

  6. I'm always gathering items for the thrift shop. It is less and less nowadays, as I have been doing it for awhile, not bringing home alot of new things helps. It does help to stay organized when you have less things.

  7. Well done on the decluttering. Sorry to hear that you had a troll comment. I think I would also delete it if I had one. Hopefully they won't revisit your blog.

  8. Trolls are everywhere. sometimes they are from a bot, but when it gets personal, they go. This is a safe pleasant place for me.

  9. Your snow is beautiful, Jackie. I've had the issue with Blogger and the anonymous posting too. It happens when I am on my tablet, but not the laptop.

  10. I'm sorry you got a nasty comment, how upsetting for you. When I started blogging Robin set up the comments as moderated. Which means I have have to accept them to go on the blog. I've never had anything nasty, but occasionally get comments from different companies, wanting to sell something. Or strange ones from foreign countries, which I delete.

  12. I have comment moderation turned on for my blog so I have to approve all comments before they get posted. Every once in awhile I get a troll but it's easily taken care of before it gets to the blog.
