As usual the ceremony was very touching.
Once back home I got to work on my various projects. I can see a steadfast movement towards being completed by the end of the month. Knitting will take place tonight after supper.
In fact I am off to work on supper right now and will visit with you all a bit later.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

Sounds like a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteHi dear Jackie, I bet the Legion's luncheon was wonderful! I love the illustration you are sharing, dear friend. The poppy is such a beautiful flower and I love what it represents.
ReplyDeleteLast year when I came across some veterans in a shopping mall, I purchased a permanent poppy for $5.00...it is a pin, and lovely.
It's wonderful to see your post. God bless you.
Sounds like a bittersweet day. Hope the rest of your night is good. What did you end up making for supper?
ReplyDeleteA very special day that unites us all.
ReplyDeleteHappy knitting to you. xx
ReplyDeleteI agree bittersweet day, especially when you realize how few veterans are alive from World War II
ReplyDeleteI remember collecting for poppies as a child.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear you are on track for the month. I know that is where you like to be! 😉
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, Jackie.
ReplyDeleteWe don't go to the service in person anymore but do watch the one from Ottawa. It's always very moving.
