Saturday Roundup

It has been a very good week for getting things done. Lots of baking, decluttering, tidying, and just plain working on those things I have put aside for many years.

I even have finished projects to share with you.

First off....

The eighth block of 9 to make the new quilt. Definitely needs ironing.

The nightgown to replace one that I needed to cut into rags. That one was 20 years old and getting a bit threadbare and didn't really fit any longer.

My first pair of knitted mitts for Kurt's school this month.

The jacket, which even though I was kind of scared of making. It went together so very well and I will probably make another if I can get the right weight of knit fabric on sale once again.

That is all I have to share with you today. I am hoping to have more to share next week. That is if we do not go to Kris's and the way the weather is looking that is probably what is going to happen.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  2. Wow, you did great with all the sewing! I have no desire to do complicated (to me) items. I did a bit of mending but more to do. I might tackle some canning this coming week, too. I love to can. Safe travels if you go visiting.

  4. You were certainly very productive this past week. I'd say that nightgown gave you its money's worth, even before you cut it into rags. :)

  5. Haven't you been busy, crafting away. That's quite an assortment of makes. Your new jacket looks great, well done. I should make myself a new nightgown if I could find that fabric I've got tucked away.

  7. Wow, what lovely finishes especially that jacket...it looks marvelous. Yes, I wear my nightgowns into the ground too. Thought I was the only one to do so these days. LOL

  9. Your new clothes look great. I wish I had the confidence to sew clothing but I know my limitations.
