Thrifty and Frugal
Another week of being frugal and thrifty happened here on the old homestead.
I have noticed that quite often my posts do not show up as changing on peoples feeds. I am not sure what hocus pocus is occurring on Blogger, but I do hope the fix the problem soon. I just always click on all blogs on my sidebar just in case there has been a post that didn't show up. Believe me there are lots.
1. Hung all clothing on the lines outside this week, except for towels, and sheets.
2. Windows open to cool the house two days this week.
3. Using up leftovers in the fridge and fridge freezer to make meals.
4. Patched a pair of Harvey's pants.
5. No watering necessary outside as we have had some rain over the last three days.
6. Used some of my saved allowances to purchase some new sandals, three bras, a skort, 2 pairs of pants and a very nice dress. All on sale and the total cost was under $80.00. Oops forgot 2 short sleeved tops as well.
7. Picking lettuce from the garden.
8. Harvesting and processing rhubarb (might get another pick as of right now).
9. Put $0.45 in the change jars.
10. Went grocery shopping and picked up lots of on sale produce, and some dairy which will keep me from going for a big shop next week.
11. Spring cleaning and walking for exercise, using up some more purchased cleaners.
So not to bad a week. How did you all do this week?
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
#6- thats a haul fir so little. Im trying to weed out summer clothes, abd lose a few pounds so a couple things fit better again.
ReplyDeleteThe week has gone by too fast. And now we’re heading into a spell of 100+ temperatures. That hot if weather mentally has me feeling lazy even though I’m inside with the AC. I just don’t like it when the weeks go by so fast…
ReplyDeleteYou have had a good week, great bargains on your clothes.
ReplyDeleteSame on the blogger thing. For sure.
ReplyDeleteDid real well this week and last with ingredient shopping. Then today I'll make new pizza sauce for the weekend and the pizza dough is already waiting for us in the fridge and last night I got a HUGE bag of spuds at ALDI for four bucks. Four bucks. Already cooked ten of them up in the pressure cooker for potato salad and a few for breakfast potatoes.
Very, very happy wih this week.
Wishing you a yummy weekend ahead.
Sounds like you got a lot of clothing items for your money. Well done. It's good to treat yourself to what you need. I could do with some new bras.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone. Were these clothing items at a thrift store? If not, wow, you did amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you did very well with your clothing purchases. More new outfits for your trip!
ReplyDeleteMy lettuce isn't up enough for picking just yet. Hopefully in a week or so. We just need some heat!
You did very well with your clothing purchases well done.
ReplyDeleteDear Jackie, sounds like you are having a very good week!
ReplyDeleteYou got a steal on those clothes! I'm wanting to do a thrift store run to see if there might be a summer dress that a) fits, b) is a maxi length. Rarely find them because I think they get snapped up fast.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing deal on the clothes!! - Hawaii Planner
