The end of another month, really time is just whizzing by.
So what thrifty things have I been up to this week.
I walked pretty much every day thus saving fuel and the cost of a gym membership.
I darned a pair of Harvey's socks and he actually said he can't even tell.
I am using up all those small tubes of hand lotion that I received as gifts from students, and will soon start on the larger ones that Kris always seems to get me when he gets me smelly bath things.
I added some water to my shampoo bottle and will now get some more washes out of it.
Did up the budget numbers today and we are once again under budget. I am hoping that continues until the end of December. It would be nice to finish off a year with extra cash in the bank.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
It would be nice to finish December with extra cash in the bank. Sounds like a great week for you.:)
ReplyDeleteGood on you for managing your budget so well, especially at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
great way to enter into a new year. It's nice to walk this time of year it is so fresh
ReplyDeleteI agree! Extra cash in the bank is a woohoo!
ReplyDeleteI laughed when you said Harvey didn't notice anything different with his socks after you darned them. I hope he noticed the hole was gone! haha
I empty those small bottles into my larger ones and don't worry about different brands. It all helps and cleans them out of here.
Wow .. darning socks .. I cannot yet darn so that it is not felt by the wearer. Need to do more work on that.
ReplyDeleteI flatly refuse to darn socks but Resident Chef has decided that he will darn the ones I've knitted for him. I'd sooner knit a whole 'nother pair than darn!!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful that you are under budget. Well done Jackie. I need to crunch numbers too, but we won't be under budget.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
