Thrifty and Frugal
It has been a very short week here on the old homestead. So not as many frugal or thrifty happenings.
1. Hung what I could on the lines downstairs.
2. Using up all the leftovers in the fridge.
3. Managed to clear out more 4" squares of fabric and some 2 1/2" strips. I even got those organized neatly and into one container instead of being thrown into 3 containers.
4. Made my grocery list using the sale flyers.
5. Added a few more no spend days this month.
6. Found $0.05 on my last walk to get the mail.
7. Added $50.00 to the savings envelope.
8. Baked buns for sandwiches instead of bread.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
You did really well, Jackie! God bless you as well, enjoy your evening, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteA thrifty week! Good for you guys!
ReplyDeleteA penny saved is a penny earned!
ReplyDeleteYou did well.
$50? That's great!
ReplyDeleteYou always do so well with your thrifty list.
ReplyDeleteStill sounds like a good week even if it was short. I found a nickel yesterday. I also pulled some flannel baby blankets, stored in my dresser and bought for 25 cents from the thrift store, to make some of your tinkle wipes. It’s been a good, frugal week here.
ReplyDeleteAll still good frugal progress.
ReplyDeleteYou still did well!
ReplyDeleteYou always do well, Jackie. I can't remember the last time I picked up money outside. I did find a $20 bill under my jewelry tray once which was a surprise. Don't remember putting it there. I got my new dryer but am using the two lines Tony hung in the basement still, inspired by you.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome week! I wish I was better about making a shopping list based on the sales ads. Maybe one day I'll get on a schedule and do it once a week. We can all dream, right? Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNice and thrifty as usual. I cooked a big pot of curried mince, and made two cottage pies with mashed potatoes topping to put in the freezer. Them made six small pasties (pies) with the remaining mince, one for my meal last night, and the other 5 individually wrapped and frozen. So I'm feeling quite thrifty too.
