What To Do On A Rainy Day

Today has been dark and dreary. It has been raining since I got up this morning, putting me into a melancholy mood. To get myself out of this funk, I decided to move my clothes around. All my heavy sweaters, pants and dresses are now packed away until next winter. I changed the rods in my bedroom closet around to fit all my spring/summer clothes in.

My, my, I really do own way too many clothes. I now need to get some flat boxes or baskets for the top of the closet so I can organize all my wraps and scarves. Perhaps that would tidy it up a bit. I should also hang up my housecoat on the hook behind the door, it looks much tidier that way!

I still had much of the morning left so got busy doing some baking. I haven't baked for awhile and lately I have been craving CHOCOLATE. So here are pictures of my efforts in the kitchen this morning.

These are Brownie Bites. Nice and soft and full of chocolate

Now these are my favorite Chocolate goody. Unbaked Chocolate Cookies. I have convinced myself that because they have oatmeal in them they are healthy.

Then right after lunch I decided that I needed to cut up some old jeans into patches for a denim quilt I want to make. Here is the pile of squares I managed to get.
All in all a productive day! Well off to visit all of you. Everybody have a wonderful afternoon.
God bless.

  4. I'm coming right over for some of those brownie bites and no bake cookies!!!! I wish it was that easy! lol I just finished making apple cinnamon scones and of course I had to wolf down two of them. lol

We're having another sunny day here and right now it's 15c so that's the warmest it's been this year so far. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, though, but I don't mind since that will probably get rid of the rest of the snow that's still hanging around where the huge snowbanks were and in shady spots.

Have a terrific weekend, my friend. xoxo

  6. Jackie,

It sounds like you've been busy. Grandma used to make those no-bake cookies. She called them icebox cookies because she put them in the icebox to set. Mmm! Delicious. Michelle made some last Christmas and they were really good. Yes, I did indulge in one. I know. I'm bad. LOL

All of your goodies look delicious. Thanks for sharing what you've been up to. It's rainy and cool here today and will be until Thursday.
    Blessings,
    Mary
