It has been a fairly quiet week. I have worked around the house and yard, so just a few frugal practices.
Blinds and drapes open to take advantage of the natural lighting and the solar heating.
Clothing hung out on the lines to dry again this week.
We got rain today and so the rain barrel is about 1/3 full (it is an almost 300 gallon tank). Hopefully more rain coming so it fills up the rest of the way.
Garden watered by rain instead of the hose (rain barrel was empty until today's fill up).
Used up some more of those finer small balls of yarn making squares.
Used up some leftover bits and bobs from the fridge freezer in making meals this week.
Watching free TV.
Downloaded some free reading material.
Saved $3.99 on my groceries this week, plus got some free hamburger buns.
All in all not a bad week, though savings on groceries could have been better.
