Menu Monday

This next while I plan on trying to use up a few things in the fridge freezer and chest freezer. Must make more room so that nothing is wasted.

Monday

Butternut Squash soup (container in the fridge freezer) and salmon salad sandwiches.

Tuesday

Leftover ham made into a casserole. Something new and interesting, with some leftovers for another meal.

Wednesday

A package of leftover chicken which will more than likely become Chicken a la King. Served on toast or maybe biscuits.

Thursday

Hopefully the remains of the casserole from Tuesday. I will add some tossed salad to this.

Friday

Comfort food night, Glace and eggs (kind of like deconstructed perogies or really heavy dumplings).

Saturday

Perhaps a clean out the fridge night.....or a Chef's Salad using up some more ham and some leftover chicken (saving some back from the Wednesday meal).

Sunday

Roast beef, roasted potatoes, roasted carrots.

I also plan on pulling out the chicken and turkey carcasses and making stock tomorrow. That will clean out a bit more space as well. At least until I package up the stock.

Everybody have a wonderful evening. God bless.

  1. We really need to plan ahead. At present, we just pick something to take out, the night before.

And of course, we have lots of leftovers, to use up. It makes one more creative!

  2. I overmade pizza the othernight so we've been eating that up. Tonight is a small meatloaf. Less meat and more veggies/egg/breadcrumbs with potatoes and corn. I really have to get away from leftovers as new/different food is something we look forward to every day. It's a challenge, isn't it?

  3. I should learn to plan, but I tend to make up my mind what we're having for dinner the morning of. Both freezers are starting to empty out but I've still some way to go. The one thing we do is have leftover night at least once a week.

    Take care and stay well!
