November and Baked Beans

Since I had used up the last of my homemade Baked Beans, today was the perfect day to make some more.

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

1 pkg dried navy beans (about 4 cups)
1/2 lb of bacon diced
2 tbsp ketchup
1/3 cup molasses
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp prepared mustard

Soak dried beans in water to cover overnight. Drain water in the morning and add fresh. Parboil beans for 1 hour. Add beans and liquid to slow cooker, and add remaining ingredients. Turn slow cooker on to medium and cook for at least 8 hours.

Harvey loves these beans and they are so simple. Kind of put together and forget.

I now have several containers in my freezer once again.

Well off to visit all of you.

Everyone have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
