Frugal Friday

It has been a fairly quiet week on the old homestead. I have tried to be as frugal as possible, which is a good thing considering we got our water bill today. Wow, just wow.

1.  Using wool from my stash to knit a prayer shawl for the church.

2.  Cut up jeans and some old shirts to use for quilting fabric.

3.  Picked the remaining green tomatoes as well as the remaining peppers.

4.  Cost of the groceries this week was kept to a minimum with the help of sales and a couple of coupons I found online.

5.  Got a free trim from a friend who is a stylist as she wanted the practice.

This is more a time saving item than a frugal item, but saving time is a big thing in my world.

6.  Chopped and froze onions, also chopped a bunch for the fridge and we are finding it wonderful just to reach in the fridge to add them to our meals.

7.  Bought my turkey this week for $0.89 a pound, the cheapest it has been in a very long time. Got one that is big enough to feed the four of us our Thanksgiving meal, give the boys some meat and still have lots leftover to make other meals for Harvey and I.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
