We had the electrician in today to put in the lights in the basement bedroom/office library. Boy is it bright down there now. I am very tempted to make the room my sewing/craft/library. But even though at one point Harvey thought it would be a great idea, he is not so gung ho about it now.
Instead of sending payment in the mail for the last work the electrician did, we handed him the payment and saved on a stamp.
All bill payments and errands were done on one day saving gas and wear/tear on the car.
We are still eating mostly out of the pantry and freezers, just buying dairy, veggies, and fruit with a few stock ups and necessary items (coffee being one of those).
Using up, making do, substituting if necessary has become second nature now.
