My mind has been racing today. Thoughts appearing and disappearing faster than I can grasp them. Every once in awhile this happens to me. Usually when I am excited, and overcome with things that need to be done.
Believe me this always happens before Kris and Kurt come home. I have lists galore and they both will be arriving on Friday night. Tomorrow is the Bible Study and so the afternoon will be almost a total loss of time that I could be baking, or getting the garden in. I will however go shopping right after the study and perhaps get a bit of baking done in the evening.
However none of my various projects will be worked on unless I manage to get a great deal completed of the usual Thursday household tasks. I hope to get some unfinished things done as well. Since the day time temperatures will be dropping quite a bit, the garden needs to be harvested and perhaps some processing will be done as well. I made tomato sauce with my slow cooker a couple of days ago and if I manage it I should be able to get another batch started in the morning and finished once I get home.
Supper will be quick as I can just heat the ham in the microwave and add a few sides (heck I can boil potatoes in the morning and whip up potato salad).
Too many thoughts and probably not enough time to get them all completed.
Do any of you have this problem?
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
Enjoy your sons visit!
ReplyDeleteI know just what you mean!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I definitely have that problem and it's always in the middle of the night so I end up not sleeping.
ReplyDeleteYes. I get overwhelmed when I have a deadline or if I make unrealistic expectations for myself.
ReplyDeleteyes, I don't like the feeling, it is like being very anxious. You are pulled in several different directions at the same time, and you need to get things done. They of course usually all get completed. Our brains work faster than our bodies, it will get done. Have fun with your family.
ReplyDeleteI'm like Magpie, my racing and spiraling thoughts tend to happen at night and keep me from sleeping.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit with your boys!
Yum on the homemade potato salad. It is so good and refreshing! Good job on the tomato sauce. It’s so great to be able to produce your own food. I hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes, we are constantly trying to sort out things in our head. We have to add 'can we travel south or do we have to dig a hole to stay warm here?' to our list of conundrums! haha
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visitors!
Yes! I can so relate to you. I hope once the boys are home that you'll have time to just relax and be. I hope it's a wonderful holiday for you all.
ReplyDeleteWishing you & your family a Happy Thanksgiving Jackie. Enjoy the time with your sons.
