After bragging about how well I was sleeping last night was a no really restful sleep day. The brain only shut off for a short while, and the bedroom was way too warm (even Harvey thought it was too hot and tried to take over the couch where I was trying to sleep). I don't know what today will bring, hopefully the call from the doctor this afternoon so I can get my prescriptions filled.
Enough whining, on with the menu for the week.
Monday
Leftover turkey made into a casserole so I don't have to cook another night this week. I am just not sure what type of casserole to make. I will be checking my recipes.
Tuesday
Since it was football yesterday I made a pizza. If that is not all eaten for lunches we will finish this off. Another no cooking day. If the pizza is gone I will make up a container of Lentil soup from the freezer downstairs. Egg salad sandwiches to go along with it.
Wednesday
The remains of the turkey casserole and salad.
Thursday
The last package of leftover roast beef in the freezer. I have my eye on making stroganoff this time around. I will serve it on noodles. Raw veggies for a side today.
Friday
Fish and chips along with coleslaw.
Saturday
The remains of the meal from Thursday. Another no real cooking day. Probably the last of the coleslaw as well.
Sunday
Roast chicken, roasted potatoes, roasted carrots, and some roasted cauliflower and broccoli if I haven't used those up.
Now back to freezing temperatures and staying inside to keep warm.
Everybody have a wonderful day.
God bless.
Hurray for No Cooking days... especially after a rotten night's rest. I hope your doctor refills your prescriptions pronto, Jackie. Sometimes that's harder than pulling (non-existent) hen's teeth! *hugs* ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour menu sounds good to me, Rain. I have several ideas for this week, spaghetti, chicken enchiladas, Tacos, turkey and dressing are just a few of the.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely time to stay indoors and out of the cold outdoors. Good luck with the prescriptions.
ReplyDeleteI have no plan for this week and have used up the leftovers over the weekend so I'll just pull something out the freezer and go from there.
Take care, stay well!
I do like a no cook day!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you might try a tisane of Camomile tea to help you sleep?
So you are either too cold to go out or too hot to sleep? But your food sounds yummy.
