Spring Has Sprung, or Has It

Here in southern Saskatchewan it seems that after a long and snowy winter spring has finally arrived. The snow piles are sinking and turning that ugly black colour, water from melting snow and ice is making it's way into the many ditches and the sewer systems throughout the city.

Today I got to see even more of the garden emerging from its winter blanket of white. Makes me realize how much I want to be out puttering in the yard, planting flowers, veggies and herbs. Not much longer.

However in the north of the province the story is much different. Today various areas were hit with freezing rain, heavy wet snow and cold temperatures. They will be waiting a bit longer for spring weather.

One thing I have learned about living in this province, spring is never for sure and Harvey still expects a heavy wet snowfall to arrive before he will say spring is here.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
