Granada - Cordoba - Seville

This morning we met our local guide in Granada and traveled back to the area we were in the previous night. Today we got to visit the Alhambra Palace.

That a building built in the 14th century still stood was amazing. The many court yards, arches and Moorish architecture could be examined. Ceilings made of mosaics of wood were intricate and lovely. Lots of carving and tiles abounded.

We jumped (okay not jumped but did manage to climb aboard) the bus for the next stage of our journey to Cordoba.

In Cordoba we visited the Cathedral Mosque. It was the former mosque of the Caliphs which under Isabella and Ferdinand became a Catholic Cathedral.

The place was huge!! You could still see the Moorish influence on the Cathedral. Christians just added to it and moved the alter so that it faced the east instead of Mecca.

After this visit we were once again on the road. Traveling to Seville where we would stay for the next three nights.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
