Thursday Tid Bits

Before I do anything else I am joining in on Mum's Picture Scavenger Hunt this month. I think it is going to be lots of fun.

Perhaps a few others would like to join in. Pictures do not have to be posted until the week of the 19th and the rules are really easy to follow.

Today I started one of the many Christmas gifts I need to make. So far I am moving right along. Good thing I have a great yarn stash with lots of leftover yarn from other projects through the years. I should be able to get these gifts done without having to purchase anything at all. I am also using free patterns that I have copied off the internet or been given.

I dehydrated more herbs today and hope to get more done tomorrow. I think I will be able to pick thyme and rosemary. Nothing like being able to fill my herb jars with homegrown herbs.

I have caught up picking tomatoes, but don't have enough as of yet for another batch of tomato sauce. Pretty sure I will have enough in a couple of days.

Harvey and I took a drive today to price out new flooring for the basement (after the walls are fixed). We are now leaning towards vinyl planking instead of epoxy. It will be a bit less expensive and according to Harvey's brother (who is a carpenter) and just perfect for basements that could be prone to flooding. I guess that you can lift it up and dry it off, putting it back down once it is dry.

Off to do a bit more knitting, and then to bed.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. I am hoping your basement never floods again...I know that is such a helpless feeling.

  2. I am looking forward to seeing your pics.
    I'm madly crocheting pressies.
Your basement will look great and I hope it won't see water again.
I'm off to pick my toms now.
    xx
