Well, my laptop gave up a few moments ago, which means I am using my phone to post and read. You will all have to forgive me if my fat fingers make a mistake typing.
People are saying that I must be pretty organized to do a monthly menu. It has taken a very long time to get to this point. Years in fact. It is all due to my being able to stock up on various proteins. When I grocery shop I can plan almost 2 months in advance which is lovely.
Here are the menus for our suppers this week. Lunches are either some type of sandwich or leftovers from suppers.
Monday
Chicken legs with back attached, baked. Served with rice and peas.
Tuesday
Leftover ham casserole from Sunday. Served with carrots.
Wednesday
Soup and eggsalad sandwiches.
Thursday
Hamburgers, pickles, sliced tomatoes and fries done in the air fryer.
Friday
Fish Fillets, baked, rice and carrots.
Saturday
Chili and toast. This is also the day I will be doing a big batch cook.
Sunday
Roast beef, roast potatoes, roast carrots, and a salad.
Everyone have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
I’m craving a pot roast with all the fixings now that it’s cooler! Your menu looks good.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in university, I did menu planning for 6 weeks at a time. It certainly helped use up leftovers and generally kept my grocery bill lower. I remember grocery shopping with my sister once and watching her pick up hot house tomatoes...those weren't even a consideration then...or even now.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten out of practice, but my daughter and I made an attempt this summer and we'll work on it again next month.
My mouth is literally watering! Your menu sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour menu sounds just so delicious Jackie. I am sorry to read your laptop has given up - hopefully you can fix it.
