The day has been very cloudy and dark. Harvey has told me to take my laptop to the shop to see if they can get it up and running. A friend on the forum I frequent said that all we need is a working computer a USB drive and make a recovery thumb drive. Beyond me, but I don't have the skill for that. Then my files could be recovered and Kris would be able to transfer everything to a new computer. Tomorrow will see me taking it in.
To top it all off my InstantPot made some funny noises yesterday and let off pressure way too soon without my doing anything. I have changed the silicone seal so I hope that has fixed the problem.
Shopping was an adventure today. It seems my shopping list grew feet and wondered away. So, yours truly tried to remember all that was on it. Pretty sure I missed things and many of the items that I did remember were not available. I will do without.
Yesterday I decided to finish knitting the blanket before sewing the dress. Now it seems like my ball of yarn is never ending. No matter how many rows I complete my yarn never seems to get smaller. In reality I know it is, but when I look at it the size seems to be the exact same as when I started. I will get it completed though and completed as quickly as possible.
Off to get a bit more done before making supper. I will visit you all later.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
I'm with you in not knowing how to fix computer issues. How I miss having our #2 son living close so he can bail me out when I get into stuff I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope your IP is okay. I'd hate to be without mine!
ReplyDeleteI hate when I lose my list. Nothing worse than getting to the store and no list!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the silicone seal will fix your Instant Pot. I love mine and use it regularly. I hope you can get your laptop fixed asap and inexpensively.
ReplyDeleteYou've had a few hiccups! Sometimes things happen that way.
ReplyDeleteIf you use a smartphone, there is likely a notes app that comes standard with it. I use mine to create a grocery list - either through the Google home mini or by typing in the entries. I rarely forget my phone at home, so it's a quick way to ensure I have my list.
You've been very productive, in spite of the little set backs. I'd been completely lost without my shopping list.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're having problems with your computer. It's horrible to lose stuff stored on there, I hope you manage to recover everything. It's very annoying when you lose your shopping list. I've done it a few times.
ReplyDeleteI now keep the list on my phone, in an app that I share with DH. Which, works great, until the app glitches, & I can see the most recent list, but he only sees a list from weeks ago, and buys all of the wrong items. ;-) (Hawaii Planner)
