Frugal Friday

Once again it is bitterly cold out. I guess as far as the weather predictions from pigs bladders, the old farmer's almanac, and any other weather predictors they got one half right. As far as snow cover, we could actually do with a bit more in this corner of the province.

My frugal happenings for this week.

1.  Combined errands in order to save time, and fuel.

2.  Used up almost all the leftovers in the fridge and give the fridge a good scrub down. The remainder of the leftovers will be gone by tomorrow.

3.  Cooked once ate twice.

4.  Two meatless meals over the last week. I have another one planned for tomorrow.

5.  Made my own baked beans rather than spending the cash to buy a few cans. Dried beans are very inexpensive, the molasses cost pennies, as did the squirt of mustard and ketchup. I even managed to use up the last of the real crumbled bacon.

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes. We spent it quietly here at home.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
