Family Reunion Two

Well today we leave for our family reunion in Northern Saskatchewan. We thought we would be leaving the rain and dark skies behind. Nope the forecast says .... rain. Guess we will be bringing it with us as we travel.

Hope to have lots of pictures and stories to share with you when we get back.

Once again blogger will not let me publish in IE (or perhaps it is the other way around). Thank heavens, the youngest of our sons put FF on our computer as well. Trying that now.

God bless.

More Flooding Pictures

Blogger is making me work tonight. I need to edit the Html every time I post a picture. Here are a couple more. The highway as seen on a hill over looking the valley.

In this photo you can see the highway being covered by water. The bridge was built up over a meter in our last big flood the spring of 77. Didn't seem to do much good this year. The water is running over it about 2 feet high.

Please keep my city and the surrounding area in your prayers. We really need them.

Flooding Situation

We are having a flood situation here in my city and the surrounding area. I hope these pictures tell a bit of the story.

Testing

A little while ago I tried to post and nothing would happen. Trying once again as a test this time. It worked this time so I will try a real post.

Cherry Trees!!

For the first time in many years our cherry trees are covered in blossoms. And said blossoms actually stayed on the trees for awhile. We may actually get a lovely harvest this August. Provinding we can keep the birds out.

God bless.

What Harvey Was Up To

Harvey spent most of the winter making me these lovely wooden planters for the front. You can see the front is not paved yet, but hopefully it will be in time to make my front useable.

Most of these containers hold various herbs as well as flowers.

God bless.

Sunday Bliss

It is early Sunday morning and not a creature is stirring in the house. Even the birds singing outside the windows does not wake up our cat. I so love mornings like this.

Yesterday instead of sewing I spent time getting my planting done. Think I will share with you all my garden adventures from yesterday. Nothing better than playing in the dirt.

First off a piture of my just weeded Hosta bed and a few of my yearly visitors.

I do love the pale green almost yellow colour of this one.

This one gets absolutely huge!!! I so enjoy watching it get bigger every year.

After church today it will be off for more garden adventures. We are very late getting everything in this year. The weather has been rainy or snowy this spring and now that we have this small window of opportunity the vegetable garden, weeding, and flower planting must be accomplished. I will share some more adventures with all of you later.

God bless.

Where Does The Time Go

Time seems to have drifted by this past year. I can not believe that it has been over a year since I posted anything.
It is not that I haven't been busy. I have. Just thought I might share a few of the things I have been busy with the past little while.

My wardrobe has been sadly lacking so I have been busy sewing. Here are some of the tops I made.

Here are some samples of the capris and shorts I have been busy with as well.

The weather has been terrible here so far this spring, and gardening is just being completed now. I still have a bit to do with my flowers and I hope to get them done tomorrow.

I would promise to post more often, but until things settle down a bit I will put up a post whenever I can. Please forgive me.

God bless.
