So today I will give you all the kind of good news I had from my doctor today.
I do have some very small (.3 mm) growths in my lungs, but the doctor says that at this point they can't tell if they are malignant or not. The person who read the CT scan said that I should have a repeat in 12 months, my doctor however feels that we should have one in 6 months and so is setting that up.
I will have my Holter monitor on the 16th and will return that on the 17th. Not sure yet when the echocardiogram on my heart will happen. Still waiting for that call.
This doctor seems to be very good. I really hope she stays, but no doctor really stays too long here. I will keep my fingers crossed as I really do not want to search for another doctor or be without one for an extended period of time.
The days are getting longer and I am enjoying the extended sunshine. It enables me to get more done in the house, but not those things I procrastinate on doing. That is something I seem to be finding happens more and more. I just seem to put things on my daily task lists that I really do not want to do.
I have the feeling lately that I need to get more and more of my projects done and the stashes in the sewing/craft room used. Not sure why, but it has become an overwhelming urge the last month or so. I am going to go with that as well as the small projects around the house. Perhaps it is worry about my health, but I think it is more a want to downsize and move type of thing.
Today I finished the stripe on the knitted blanket for Kurt's friend and have added in the next one. I also made hummingbird nectar, filled the feeder and got that out. Buns were made, and I will be making pies tomorrow (forgot to get out the frozen fruit and pumpkin). I did the first shopping trip as I split the shopping into two days (mainly because I was not sure when I would get the call from the doctor).
Lots to do tomorrow, but that is another day.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
Prayers all results are good.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy day.
I do hope this Doctor sticks around. I like their creativity idea of having that test in 6 mos, rather than a year. 🙏🏻
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have the desire to get rid of things so my life is easier and without clutter. The recent ER scare, and still waiting to see a Cardiologist, you never know. I just don’t want family members going through my stuff. I want everything to be organized for them. Crazy thinking but it’s how I feel.
I hope your follow ups go well too. The longer days sure are a big help!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have a great doctor and have confidence in her.
ReplyDeleteI find I work well in the mornings, but I'm becoming increasingly lazy in the afternoons, being retired there is always tomorrow. A good doctor is worth their weight in gold, it's the same here, they stay for a while before moving on, it's the same with dentist.
ReplyDeletePrayers for you, Jackie. I hope this dr stays too. I live in an area where that happens too. It’s rural so drs can come here to get their student loans paid for if they stay five years. All of them leave when the five years is up, sadly.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you Jackie.
ReplyDeleteWell, not great news but definitely not bad news either. If the doctor was very concerned they would have requested further testing.
ReplyDeleteFinding a doctor these days is near impossible. I do hope yours stays around for awhile.
Take care!
My lungs have many small and I mean many, spots due to a medication I took for 10 years for my arthritis. It does limit my breathing when I run. I hope you will find out it is just an anololy i
ReplyDeleteOkay just lost post, have no idea what you will get from me or how it will be spelled! Love you! will pray for you but my gut instinct says you will be fine.
ReplyDeleteIt seems so much more sensible to have repeats tests in 6 months to monitor the growths on your lungs, instead of waiting a full year. Were you having problems with breathing, or was this finding a surprise for you? Feeling happy and confident with your doctor is a great thing. Wishing you well for your other upcoming tests. Take care, I'm thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI think it's good that the doctor is erring on the cautious side and sending you for another scan in 6 months. Better that than them being too unconcerned about your health.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the earlier follow up CT scan too. A year, although they fly by, is a long time when health is involved. I pray things will turn out on the positive side and believe it will. I'm sure it is your health that makes you not feel like doing certain things around the house.
ReplyDeleteI think this should definitely be followed up on sooner rather than later, Jackie. We just never know at our ages what may be going on. Best to keep a check on it. Thinking about you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your doctor is staying on top of things and that's good. Try not to worry.
