I can not believe that it is the middle of the last week of the month. Once again days are flying by and I am not at all ready for the month to end.
I am trying to keep busy baking, cooking, prepping meals (soups) and working on my projects. All to keep from getting drawn into the chaos that people post. I made an error yesterday and got drawn into saying me piece on what a cousin had posted. Lord love me I really should have known better, and will know better next time around. Or at least I hope to have learned better.
The weather is improving greatly, but as usual with the uptick in temperatures, snow is now being forecast. Not a lot for here or the city that youngest lives in so we will still be going. So looking forward to getting out and about in a bigger center. I think I will ask Harvey to stop at The Body Shop so I can pick up my favourite scrub and bath gel. I also want to look at their facial cleansing routines as well.
Trying very hard not to waste anything, and I am getting better. This week I have had very little in that department. I am freezing anything leftover from our second meals and this should give us another meal from those leftovers. Neither Harvey or I can eat the same meal for days in a row. Tonight we will be having leftover beef stew, and from the looks of what is now in the pot to warm up there could be another meal had. The leftovers will be frozen and we will eat them later on.
My project list for next month is made as is the monthly cleaning list. My menu plan is as well, subject of course to any changes that may occur due to trying to use things up.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

WOW prepared for Feb. already - go you!
ReplyDeleteLast night I revisited a old blog I had back in 2010 called Lessons on the Cheap. About involuntary simplicity because at that time all my adult children moved back home, one got out of the military and it really was a financially challenging time. None of them were working. I thought of you. Anyway it was funny. It was comedic and dripping with sarcasm but
ReplyDeleteback then it was how I was dealing with the stress of it all. I might see if any of things I wrote, I could use. If anything it was amusing!
It is crazy that it's almost February and of course we all say the same thing. 😂 March usually drags because February is short.
You have a monthly cleaning list? I’m impressed! I am so not that good! Gold star to you!
ReplyDeleteWe have sunshine but it is frigid & I miss seeing the grass & sidewalk. Next Mr Groundhog will advise!🙂 Today I got a GOD Wink, because the sun is out, and there is a powdery fine snow fall it was so sparkly & pretty. Fairy 💖 ✨❄️ Sparkles, Faith@FarmhouseWorthy
ReplyDeleteI have said it before and I'll say it again, you have to be the most organized person I know of! However, I am truly surprised with all your abilities that you don't make your own facial cleanser and soaps. Perhaps The Body Shop is just a treat?
ReplyDeleteEither way you do deserve that. I'm like you I can't believe January is almost over. Take care!
Oh my word did you dare to have an opinion.... Jackie really?
ReplyDeleteThis month has certainly flown by. For you, despite the horrid weather, and for me too in the warmer climate of Arizona. My Dad always said the older you get the faster time goes by. I'm certainly seeing that.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels tomorrow as you head into the city.
You are incredibly organised Jackie, especially being ready for the coming month. It's very easy to get drawn into conversations online and then regret it. I've done it myself on occasion. Comments can so easily be misconstrued.
