Frugal Friday

It has been a rainy day here with almost no let up. Even when I think it has stopped raining there turns out to be at least a mist. At least we haven't had full fledged downpours yet, just a nice soaking rain.

So what frugal things have I been up to this week.

1.  Using up all that I can making meals and desserts. Leftovers are either eaten for lunches, fashioned into a new meal, or eaten as is.

2.  Watching free television on my mini computer. Kris got it fixed for me and it is so nice to get caught up on my watching.

3.  Sewed 4 pairs of shorts with fabric I either bought at garage sales or had remnants in my stash that were big enough to do so.

4.  Went walking for exercise outside every day but today. Today I walked inside.

5.  Found a dime in a parking lot, picked it up and put it in my dime jar.

I will end this with a picture of some visitors.

What a wonderful sight to see, I haven't seen Orioles in a very long time and to see a male and female at our first ever attempt to attract them is wonderful.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. A good soaking rain is so much better than a downpour. If I have to have rain, I want a good soaking rain. Nice of Kris to fix your tv/mini computer. What beautiful Orioles. 😊

  3. Is that one of the bird feeders that Harvey made? It's lovely. Those birds are really beautiful. I love watching birds use our tiny birdbath in the garden. It's only the size of a tea cup, but they often enjoy drinking and having a splash around in it and I can watch them from the kitchen table. Simple pleasures.

  4. I've never seen orioles here - I wonder if I put out orange slices, I might. That is so wonderful!

  5. Hi Jackie, oh those Orioles are pretty, never seen one where I live. You've been a busy girl. Thank you for always taking the time to stop over. We've had not one drop of rain since that rain barrel went up. We could use a nice soaking kind as I've started planting the garden.

  6. Love your frugal list-that's excellent to watch free movies on your device. But oh my to see that pair of Orioles. I can't tell you how many times I've put out oranges to try to attract them here...no luck yet. Thanks for sharing the photo.
