While it seems like my city learned from the floods of the past, it seems like others could be on a steeper learning curve.
We have received over two inches of rain in the last 24 hours with more in the forecast. However many places got up to 8 inches of rain causing major problems.
Thought I would share some pictures with you from around the Southeast corner of Saskatchewan.
We are very lucky considering some of these pictures are only an hour away.
Major highways underwater, people cut off and waiting to be rescued, basements full of water and worse yet sewage as things just backed up.
This area is considered semi arid and to get a downpour of more than two inches causes major damage to roads, homes, and utilities. Here is hoping the province manages to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
Jackie .. had wondered if the flooding was anywhere near you! Glad things are dry in your area!
