I am actually quite happy with what I have accomplished on those projects today and foresee a finish to at least one of them before too long.
I have been reading some of the family Facebook posts and I laugh at how hypocritical some of those who live in Alberta are. Let's put it this way. Many of them thought D. Smith was the best of all provincial Premiers. Talked about how great she is and were all gung-ho over how wonderful the things she was doing were. Fast forward to now and since one of them is a teacher (her entire family was Smith supporters) and things have changed. Our niece and her family can't stand the Premier now and it is mainly because L is a teacher and they are being legislated back to work come Monday. I just wonder how long this about face will last with this section of the family. We shall see.
My hallway is almost completely cleared now just from picking things up and putting them in their proper places. The craft pile beside my chair is dwindling, and the sewing/craft room is clearing up nicely. A bit here and there makes a difference and surprisingly enough makes me very happy and contented.
Yesterday I did the filing of recipes, and patterns and cleared out a great deal of paperwork that was very old. I also got rid of some very old appliance manuals. My desk area is almost as clean as I would like, just a bit more needs doing and that will also be completed this week. There are a few item to be gone through under the desk and put in their proper places as well.
Enough of my rambling.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

I love getting things out in order and where they belong. I did some laundry today and clean in my bedroom today. I love having things neat and orderly.
ReplyDeleteDear Jackie, you are getting a lot accomplished, dear friend, and I am sure this feels great! I got a fair amount done today in my apartment, and it felt so good! :)
ReplyDeleteI will be 69 tomorrow...October 27th! I have a special blog post planned this day to celebrate, as well as to thank all my fellow bloggers and friends for their support!
I smiled when you talked about your family and Facebook. I closed my Facebook account in April of this year. Too much negativity, that was around the time my cousins and other Facebook people were talking about Pierre Polievre and how much they didn't want him to get in as a leader of anything!
I won't say my opinion on this except that I do agree, but all the negativity was getting to me which is why I closed my account there. And I had a Facebook account for decades!
That having been said, I am glad that I did this because my blog is a joy for me, and so many kind people, such as yourself, have been good friends and a huge support.
Thank you so much for your posts, I enjoy reading them and I appreciate you, Jackie.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
It must be in the air. I also tidied and put things where they belong. It makes a difference! I straightened the basement pantry and the baking cupboard. I found chocolate that needed to be eaten. Which i did! We had sun! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI don’t know enough about Canada politics to comment. I have three Maga sisters. It breaks my heart. I have no idea what to do about it. I guess we do the best we can and treat others how we’d like to be treated. That’s the simple answer, i guess.
Sounds like your place is coming along and that winter will be a wonderful time in the newly refreshed, everything has a home, home.
ReplyDeleteThat is THE BEST!
