Saturday Roundup

We have reached a temperature of 29C today, so the shopping for plants began in earnest.

This is what I have managed to get so far.

This is far from the end of the plant purchasing. I have quite a few more that need purchasing, and then I will see how many I need to actually get the rest of my containers filled.

I did purchase some carrot seeds, and next up will be some lettuce to plant in a container.

Now Harvey says we should have purchased kohlrabi at the greenhouse while there. I will keep my eyes open to see if I can find any here in the city.

No projects finished this week, though the knitted tank is close to being done as is the jacket. I hope to be finished one or both by the end of the week. As many inside goals and projects need to be done as possible. Soon most of my time will be spent outside planting and weeding.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

Garden Friday, The First Planting

I promised you all pictures of my planting this year. Hopefully you all forgive the mess around the yard/garden as it has been raining so much that getting out to clean up is a bit of a problem. Hopefully it will be sunny all day tomorrow and clean up can commence. I should also take pictures in the evening when all the solar lighting comes on. We still have a few that are not lighting which I find strange as they lit up perfectly fine at the time I collected them to put away for the winter.

Here goes, this will be picture heavy.

So hopefully this is all Harvey and I will be planting this year. The lemon trees have not been put out on the deck as of yet as the evenings and overnight are still pretty cool. Hopefully those will be out next week.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

Thursday Tidbits

Slowly the week is drawing to a close.

I took a few more pictures of the garden to share with you all.

This is our native hydrangea. Seems to be growing quite well.

Here the natural colour is white and the flowers are a bit smaller. Still it is lovely to look at and it seems like more blossoms appear each day.

We did manage to keep a few of the older lilies that we had planted years ago.

The first of the new lilies have appeared. The picture does not show how large these white lilies are. I love them!!

Notice the purple columbine located to the left. Strangely enough this happened.

Half of the plant seems to be yellow. I think this fall I am going to try and separate the two plants.

The remainder of the week that I haven't been weeding, harvesting, dehydrating, cleaning or cooking have been spent knitting and reading. I even managed to get a bit of decluttering in and hope to continue with that until the weeks end.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
