Another quiet day here on the old homestead. I got my lists made up for the coming week, did some of the household tasks to keep the house running smoothly, and worked on a couple of projects.
Spent a bit of time pondering a few questions that have been on my mind for awhile, and may, just may have come up with an answer to one of them. The other still needs some thought and I am not sure I will ever come to a conclusion on that one.
I want more time, time to get things completed, time to spend with family, time to enjoy what we have. Time is not infinite, we don't know what awaits us around the corner. I think that is why I have been trying to simplify my life and work towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
Having more time to work on my projects, find those people who enjoy the same things I do is becoming more important to me. Funnily enough Harvey asked me went the next night I would be going to the knitting/crocheting get together would take place. I told him that will be on Thursday night of next week. I would love to go to The Great Create as well, but Tuesday mornings are not the best for me. Perhaps I should change things around a little bit so I can attend. Another question to ponder. Life often gets in the way of attending a morning get together. I do/did enjoy both those outings.
Now that the days are longer, I can actually do more of the things I enjoy and once my home is decluttered and made a bit more easily looked after things will change and I will get more time, or at least what seems to be more time.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.

Do it now! When you love someone who gets an awful diagnosis......today is all you have. I've known too many since age 33. I retired at 58 for those invaluable lessons I learned far too young.
ReplyDeleteI think time is something we all seek more of Jackie - I know I do. My days seem busy & full & I don't get to catch up with or keep in touch with the people I would like to. But also I (we) must accept that we are slower now & things take longer. I think I need to remind myself of this. xx
ReplyDeleteThere is time - we just need to MAKE it happen! We all need to quit saying no and making excuses. I do it too.
ReplyDeleteI am loving these longer days too as I seem to get more done with longer daylight hours.
ReplyDeleteTaking time for yourself is important too. However, I'm a slow mover in the morning so I can understand not being able to make it to a morning session.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, my Dad always said that time went by more quickly as we age. I can't disagree with that either. :)
I hear you! We only get 24 hours in a day. Its up to us to manage it. Periodically, I have to go over the day and make the necessary edits on the day that are just time wasters.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to say "yes" to more things. I love staying hom enad just doing my own thing, but really trying to experience more things that are new to me
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to rearrange things so that you could go to both groups. They sound great.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand, Jackie. Im trying to slow life down and still make time for things I like to do .....library day and family history day for example. My recent health issues and joint pain mean that I dont really get going until mid morning 🙄I'm determined to keep going during the warmer months.

Free time does seem to be elusive doesn't it. I know I spend far too much time on the computer but I enjoy it so on it goes.
