This time I decided it was time to do these stamped embroidery pillow covers. I don't know where I will use them, or if I will give them away as gifts to others in the family. All I know is that working on them the past few weeks has made me feel as if my Mom is looking over my shoulder as I stitch away.
They are taking a bit longer to do than I thought they would. That's okay though, a person needs something to do on these long, cold winter nights.
Well off to pay everyone a visit. Everybody have a wonderful evening. God bless.
Jackie,
ReplyDeleteThe pillow covers are very pretty. I'm sure you enjoy working on them, as it brings your mother close. Enjoy your needlework. I'm also working on a project, but it's slow going with my writing and Dakota, plus all the other household tasks.
Blessings,
Mary
Doesn't it feel good to complete those unfinished projects? I think that's why I enjoy making stuff, the feeling of accomplishing something.
ReplyDeleteAlso enjoyed your pics of Vegas. Hopefully someday I will make it there.
Jackie,
ReplyDeleteThat is so special for you to be able to work on a project that was your moms.I'm sure someday you will have grandchildren that would love to have them. You are one special lady.
God Bless,
Ginger
You know, my mother used to do embroidered pillowcases (for bed pillows) with that "old-fashioned" lady.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean .. I have some of my late mother's and my late aunt's unfinished projects waiting for me.
How pretty. I have an Aunt who said I can all of her unfinished projects when she goes. Of course she has 4 daughters, but none are the crafty-sewing types.
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie- This is just beautiful- it will be so special when family members receive one of these.
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband's mother passed- I was the only who crocheted- so I received many treasures of unfinished projects- some I finished and some I didn't. But I LOVE looking at all her yarn, needles, unfinished sweaters, etc...
Hugs

Hello dear Jackie:-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that you're finishing off the work on these that your mother had started! I can well imagine how close you feel to her as you work on them.

I haven't had much time to catch up with everyone but slowly getting there:-) How exciting that you got to go to Vegas...I would love to get there one day. I've been to Atlantic City in New Jersey and I thought that was grand...I can just imagine being in Vegas now!!! xoxo
