This morning I will be attending the Rebembrance Day Service at our high school. Here I will remember those who sacrificed years of their lives to keep us save, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I will pray and remember those who are still serving hoping that they all come home soon.
This sounds like it will be a good way to think of the service men and women.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVED your baked beans Jackie. Thank-you for sharing your recipe.
Enjoy your day,
Ginger
Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, a heartfelt thank you to the men and women who have sacrificed so much just so that we could have our freedom. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYesterday was Veterans Day here in the U.S. and I made a point of asking as many strangers as possible if they were veterans. It was amazing how many are. I thanked each one.
ReplyDeleteWhile waiting in a pharmacy I struck up a conversation with an older veteran, and then a younger man who works in the pharmacy eagerly joined in the conversation. He obviously wanted to be recognized for his service in 3 different areas of conflict. I was so happy to give him that recognition.
I don't always agree with the fights we get into, but I always have respect for those who serve.
Kerry
Kerry that is what it is all about. While many do not agree with war, we must remember those who did serve and did so without holding anything back.
ReplyDeleteThank you for talking and letting those that served share their stories with you.
This is a nice way to honor all veterans....I'm thankful for all the men and women who serve to protect our country and keep us free....Linda
