SHHHHH
The boys have gone home and I am trying to clear things up around the house.
I decided this year to remove or take down our decor a bit (okay a lot) early. I want my house to be back to pretty well normal by the end of the year. I also want to start decluttering in earnest this year. I am sure Harvey is a bit worried about this aspect of my decluttering, but at my age of 70 and his of 75 (going on 76) it is time. I really want to move to the city and be closer to our youngest and 2 hours closer to our oldest as well. I am continuing to look at various purchases and will keep working on getting Hubby to agree. I do know that he wants to stay in our home as long as is possible.
I got gifts that were both extremely usable and a couple that I kind of shrug my shoulders at..... Still I am thankful for all that I have gotten. Pretty sure our sons feel the same way.
I got a phone call yesterday that my sewing machine is ready to be picked up. Dang I really wish it would have been last week, but I am just thankful they managed to fix it and I do know where to take my machine if things go haywire once again.
I turned 70 yesterday, and today feel every day of that age. I did not sleep well last night and in looking at photo's over the holidays I do see a great deal that needs to be checked out and improved. I did get a phone call from my doctor re those scans I have had. My ultra sound showed nothing irregular and as I am using muscles that were causing problem back when the scan was finally done, I know it was soft tissue damage.
My CT scan showed a slight growth in the nodule in my lungs. I am supposed to get into the doctors immediately if I find myself short of breath, or spitting up blood. My next scan will be in a year.
Everybody have a wonderful evening.
God bless.
Happy Birthday Jackie! I'm sorry to hear, about the nodule on your lung. Praying it doesn't grow or cause any shortness of breath or blood.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking our stuff down early as well. We'll leave up the nativities till the 6th. I'm looking forward to a new year!
Thanks Jackie for being a very nice blog friend. God bless.
Happy Birthday! Wishing you an enjoyable year of being 70.
ReplyDeleteI also have had little nodules in m lungs....for years. IT is nothing and hopefully, yours will be too. I think we all get them with age, but who knows really. I am glad your holidays were good. I am all over decluttering too. I live in a tiny space and just can't deal with it much.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday from me too!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Happy New Year!
Happy Birthday, and Happy New Year too. I'm sure you had a great time with your boys being home over Christmas. Sorry to read about your lung problem, that must be a worry, but you seem to be getting regular checks.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your boys were able to make it home and that you could enjoy your time with them. I think as we get older (I'm 71) we start to realize that we need to downsize...not only our homes but also everything in our lives. Happy birthday wishes to you and here's to a healthy and happy new year.
ReplyDeleteDear Jackie! Happy Happy Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to YOU! I tell you, this year I'm keeping things up longer but one year, I took the tree down on Christmas afternoon. Understandable that Hubby wants to stay and you want to move closer to the kiddo. Hope you get you wish in 2026. Cheers, Ivy.
