All Is Quiet

SHHHHH

The boys have gone home and I am trying to clear things up around the house.

I decided this year to remove or take down our decor a bit (okay a lot) early. I want my house to be back to pretty well normal by the end of the year. I also want to start decluttering in earnest this year. I am sure Harvey is a bit worried about this aspect of my decluttering, but at my age of 70 and his of 75 (going on 76) it is time. I really want to move to the city and be closer to our youngest and 2 hours closer to our oldest as well. I am continuing to look at various  purchases and will keep working on getting Hubby to agree. I do know that he wants to stay in our home as long as is possible.

I got gifts that were both extremely usable and a couple that I kind of shrug my shoulders at..... Still I am thankful for all that I have gotten. Pretty sure our sons feel the same way.

I got a phone call yesterday that my sewing machine is ready to be picked up. Dang I really wish it would have been last week, but I am just thankful they managed to fix it and I do know where to take my machine if things go haywire once again.

I turned 70 yesterday, and today feel every day of that age. I did not sleep well last night and in looking at photo's over the holidays I do see a great deal that needs to be checked out and improved. I did get a phone call from my doctor re those scans I have had. My ultra sound showed nothing irregular and as I am using muscles that were causing problem back when the scan was finally done, I know it was soft tissue damage.

My CT scan showed a slight growth in the nodule in my lungs. I am supposed to get into the doctors immediately if I find myself short of breath, or spitting up blood. My next scan will be in a year.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

Saturday Roundup

Between napping, and remembering to take all my prescriptions not a whole lot was accomplished.

I did manage to finish the knitted blanket, and today I started to cut down the fabric from my older clothing. Also gathered more of the items to get my goals/projects completed for this month. Now just to get everything all done that I want done. There is now quite the pile of bits and bobs beside my chair. I am looking forward to watching the pile shrink as the days pass by.

As the days get darker and close in, the temperature drops, and the weather gets cold I am more inclined to stay close to home and get things completed. I won't be walking to get the mail as now that a new house has been built on the corner of the street behind us the road is sheer ice. Walking, in my case, would be dangerous. I really do not need to break anything else. Twice a week I will venture out in the vehicle to pick anything up.

My mouth is slowly healing and I am adding a bit more solid food to the diet. Tonight I am making ribs and noodles. If I find that the ribs are a no go, I will add some cheese to the noodles. Veggie wise, there will be mixed. I am hoping to get a bit more solid food inside. I really do not do well on a liquid diet, I have now found out. Not looking forward to the crown repair in a couple of weeks. Will I need to continue with a soft, smooth or liquid diet? Or will I throw caution to the wind and eat normally?

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

Thrifty Thursday

Just the usual thrifty things happening around the old homestead.

One new thing though. If you all remember I said we both came down with Covid before Christmas. Well we tested again today, and I learned (used a new box of tests with all the instructions) that in reality we did not have Covid at that time. Duh, do I feel stupid.

However looking at the instructions and testing cause of Harvey not feeling well... Turns out that Harvey has Covid, but so far I am clear.

I notified Kris and said we would understand if he didn't come for Easter. His response was that he was fully boosted (so are we) and has had Covid twice already so he would still come down. He will be arriving before noon tomorrow.

Right now Harvey is staying as far away from me as possible, and I have my cutting table set up that we can use to eat. Harv is wearing a mask and I am busy cleaning everything he touches.

Life suddenly got pretty interesting here on the old homestead. I am also hoping I don't come down with it as I have that appointment to finish the filling work on Tuesday of next week.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

Okay

Just stopping by to let all know I am okay. Just trying to get over some really weird side effects from the last booster, and getting things completed around the house.

I will be back next week hopefully.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless
