I tried some of my homemade cleaners this week, and I must say the window/glass cleaner is wonderful. I am still holding back on the soap scum one, but if that works half as well, I will be extremely happy. Simple ingredients that make wonderful cleaners that cut my carbon footprint, and save us a bit of cash.
My movement towards simplicity this week has been cleaning and organizing my desk drawers, as well as removing some items we haven't used in years from the kitchen drawers as well. This is making it so much easier to find what I am looking for. Next up will be the dining room hutch. Pretty sure I will be removing things from there. Thus giving me less to dust, and clean.
I am enjoying my days putzing around the house and getting little things completed. Those little things have been put off for too long. But perhaps I am procrastinating in not getting the larger and more complex tasks done. However I have come to a conclusion that actually surprises me. There is always tomorrow at least for the foreseeable future. And getting things done is not quite as important as enjoying the day.
Everybody have a great day. Take care.

You got that right. Enjoying is far more important than always cleaning. Seize the day!
ReplyDeleteI have just made some more homemade spray & wipe this morning Jackie. I love using my own cleaners too & it gives me great pleasure to be able to walk right past all these things in the supermarket. Enjoy your weekend xx
ReplyDeleteI spent a good part of the afternoon cleaning up my gmail account. Way too much junk mail. I couldn't find important email. Now it's clean, and labeled. I found myself not wanting to open up my email.
ReplyDeleteHaving everything organized will definitely make your life easier. My daughter and I did some of that this week too.
ReplyDeleteHaving time to oneself and enjoying it, is a good thing.
We no longer use glass cleaner at all and instead have two microfibre cloths - one for using wet on the glass and the other for drying. Works like a charm and the cloths seem to last forever.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I love pottering around the house doing small jobs. It easy to get caught up in everyday life and the big jobs and ignore the small niggling things, which makes it that much more satisfying when you do actually get around to doing them.
