Thursday Tidbits

I really, honestly meant to post last night, but once again time disappeared from me. Only this time it was not for a good reason.

I got a text about 12 noon from our youngest son. He had fallen at work, and was sitting in the hospital in Regina waiting for an x-ray (which they were having trouble giving him). Turns out he broke his hip joint and would need surgery.

I rushed over to the neighbours to ask if she would watch Shania, quickly got the mail, packed (forgot my pills...lucky they are not necessary to keep me alive) and headed on our two hour journey to be with our youngest.

Kris had surgery last night, and will be in the hospital for a couple of days. We will drive back and forth from our hotel (must remember to make another days reservation) feeding his cat, and visiting him.

Kris somehow thinks he will be able to climb three flights of stairs, hauling groceries..... We are trying to convince him (and Eiko) to come home with us for the first week or so. I think it could take him trying his stairs himself before he realizes this might be the best for his road to recovery.

I will try and update you all as I learn more.

Everybody have a wonderful day.

God bless.

  1. Oh goodness, sorry to hear about your son's accident. I hope he makes a good recovery from the surgery.

  2. Oh my Dear, I am so sorry for all of this...

Mother's remain mothers, their entire life. We understand.

He fell at work, so that is a *good* thing, if any of it can be good. He will get compensation.

Lots of gentle hugs, to you....

    doesn't hurt."

  3. Ooh, sorry to hear that. Hope he mends soon.

  4. Oh my, I'm sorry to hear about your son's accident. I hope he heals quickly. I suspect you are right and he needs to be at home with least for a week or so.

  5. So sorry to read about your son, hopefully he will have a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself.
