Menu Monday


Menu planning has gone by way of the Dodo the past week and will more than likely continue as such until the company is gone and the weather cools down. I refuse to buy anything however and so leftovers and what we have in the freezer is being used up.

The BBQ is running pretty much every night and the fresh produce is running low. Thank heavens the garden is beginning to produce. Those fresh cucumbers are tasting mighty good and helping stretch out the produce.

Hopefully by next week I will be back to following the monthly menu, with perhaps a few exchanges.

  1. Jackie, like you, my menu planning has been shelved. I'm recovering from 3 days in the concession at our local rodeo. If you want to cure yourself of craving deep fried food, be the short order cook at the concession! I put some trout on the BBQ last night. I'm going to forage in the garden today. I know there's lettuce, kale, chard to gather. Something green will go with the leftover trout. This would be a good week for the chicken on the BBQ. I'm going to raid my neighbors garden for new potatoes.
