Thrifty Tuesday

The weather has not been very nice here the past few days, so I have been doing a great deal of walking inside the house. Not as fun, but at least I am keeping it thrifty as far as exercise.

Watched a few series on Disney+. Our youngest gave us a subscription for Christmas. Boy is there lots to choose from.

Reading free downloaded books on my ereader.

Using up leftovers which keeps the fridge fairly cleared out.

Using a bit less meat in casseroles.

Only drove once this past week to Bible study.

Collected some more twist ties.

Baked bread twice this week.

Cutting up some knit fabric scraps for the t-shirt rug.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. Sounds like a good and thrifty week, Jackie. The weather has been really nice here too temperature wise. I could live with this year round. :)

  2. Great thrifty ideas as always. We have Disney+ but rarely watch it, except last night we started to watch Marvel: Black Widow which was good.

  3. Resident Chef has made all our bread since Covid hit - have to love that sourdough starter! We very rarely eat meat for meat's sake and always 'stretch it' by making casseroles, soups and stews. Simply can't justify the expense of eating meat on its own any more.

  4. Love your ideas! I need to get Nick to bake more bread this weekend. Yum!

  5. You know I only had two slices of bacon for my chowder last night and it was enough. We can all learn to reduce meat in our meals.
