Thrifty Tuesday

This year I am making most if not all of the Christmas gifts from fabric and yarn already in my stash. Makes for some interesting projects that's for sure. However, it is nothing if not thrifty.

I have the quilt of many colours sandwiched and ready to quilt tomorrow as well as hopefully bind. The only item I needed to buy was the batting as I had none in my stash. I was a bit worried about the backing, but then remembered an old flat flannel sheet that I had saved for the purpose of one day backing a quilt. Not really colour coordinated, but it suits the purpose and worked very well.

I just love it when projects work out to be inexpensive and so thrifty. I am sure some in the family would say I am "cheap", but those that receive the handmade gifts are always appreciative.

Now on to figuring out a lovely gift for the family gift exchange that uses up even more of one of my stashes.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.
