I don't know about the rest of you, but we do not like warmed up French fries. They taste funny to both Harvey and I. Yet with my need to have no waste, the last time I made French fries I bagged the leftovers and froze them.
Today I decided to make hash out of the leftover roast beef..... The recipe called for frozen hash browns which I did not have in the house. Then a light bulb went off. I pulled those fries out and chopped them up into small squares. Used them instead of the frozen hash browns. They worked perfectly!!!
Now I have an idea of what to use those leftover fries for.
Thrifty is not wasting, subbing where you can and thinking outside the box.
