Frugal Friday

It really isn't hard to be frugal right now, after all if one is following the rules set out by the various governments you are staying in or physically distancing yourself.

1.  Combined errands so that I did not have to go out very often.

2.  Taking long solitary walks for exercise.

3.  Using up leftovers from fridge and freezer for our meals.

4.  Hanging up at least two load of washing on the lines in the basement. Really looking forward to when I can actually use the outside lines.

5.  Using fabric scraps to make facemasks, and leftover yarn to fashion even more dishcloths.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. Can't you hang washing outside? It's a really difficult time but it's got to be done.

  2. Oh yes, we are learning frugality.

Like yesterday I made an old fashioned tuna casserole for dinner. Per usual, I cooked too much G/F pasta. So what was left, I mixed with a bit of olive oil, and froze it. Can be used again.

I blush to admit, previously, I'd probably have thrown it out.<---Blushing- But not now!

A little thing, but it really struck me.

Let's hope, frugality is one of the Learned Lessons, which stick, after life becomes more normal again.

    Whenever that is...

    Stay calm and carry on

  3. Just staying home is super frugal. That and using what you have. Hubby is so used to running out if this breaks or that does. Our hose head cracked over winter. Turns out we had an old one, not as many bells and whistles but it does the job.
