Menu Monday

We had thunderstorms rolling through here all day Sunday. Lots of rain water in the barrel now.

Monday

Harvey is going to Regina to pick up his brother so I am not too sure about supper tonight. I will pull out the Sloppy Joe mixture just in case. If he doesn't make it home well I guess I will just make do with some salad (needs using) with a slice or two of sandwich meat on top for protein (perhaps a boiled egg instead).

Tuesday

Kurt will be home for a visit today. He should be back in time for supper so I will plan on using up the Sloppy Joe mix tonight and having some raw sliced veggies and dip.

Wednesday

Leftover pork roast made into a hash or a casserole.

Thursday

The men travel to Regina for a football game and will be eating out. Me, well I think soup and a sandwich sound pretty darn good.

Friday

Salmon Fillets, coleslaw, and rice.

Saturday

Either Smokies or out for supper....A pizza ordered in could be the ticket as well. Kris should be home and perhaps Kurt as well.

Sunday

Roast chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies along with a tossed salad or the remainder of the coleslaw.

First week of July done and while pretty warm some days the mornings are cool because of the overnight rains we have been getting.

Everybody have a wonderful day.

God bless.

  1. Please can we have some rain? Been nearly 5 weeks dry with temps of over 25C which is unusual for UK. Menu sounds nice!

  2. This is going to be a clean out the fridge week. The local rodeo will take me away for 3 evenings this week where I will be working in the concession. I will smell like a French fry. I feel like I can get down to some serious summer cooking once that rodeo is in the books. There's leftover BBQ steak/broccoli, some pork roast slices. I see the garden lettuce is ready so I'll get some salads in. I thinned the green onions last week and managed to get some of those into a cottage cheese salad. I look forward to the beans/peas. I'm looking at your Sunday chicken dinner and thinking spatchcocked (?) chicken on the BBQ.
