Sunday Ramblings

It was a quiet day, even Mass seemed to be a bit quieter than usual. Perhaps it is because it is Lent and a time of reflection and hopefully spiritual growth. Father is pretty much back to normal, I think his trip home (India) tired him out a bit. Now he is back to being his joyful self. However there are a few things that have been happening lately that have me a bit worried. I will need to pray on these things to see if I can find some resolution or at least peace about them.

I have always loved the reading from Exodus where God says "I am who I am".  That Moses saw a burning bush that wasn't consumed and actually spoke to the Lord fills me with hope and love. In the world we live in today we need more of this kind of faith, we need to hear God say "I am who I am" and believe with all our hearts and souls.

I have finished a few projects over the past week. I do hope to get a couple more done over the remaining week this month. Seems as if there are never enough hours in a day for me to get done what I want done. How did I ever manage when I worked?????

The weather is supposed to be a bit colder over the next few days and wet snow is forecasted for tomorrow. I wonder if it will happen, sure hope not as I have a dental appointment on Tuesday for a cleaning and I hate driving in that kind of weather.

Everybody have a wonderful evening.

God bless.

  1. I love that Exodus passage too. Moses is told to take off his shoes - for me that is about being truly grounded, in touch with reality when I pray. I hope your prayers find resolution. X X

  2. Jackie, I am in the same boat about not having enough time. For me, I still love doing volunteer work and so when I am at home, I am much more tired than I was as a young pup. I try to keep written goals and I just push some of the things back a few more days. As my hubby says, "I am not a 60 year old kid any more". I agree, there is so much solace in scripures. Hoping you are well. Mary
