Frugal Friday

1.  Darned a couple of pairs of wool socks.

2.  No food waste this week.

3.  Went for a walk at least once a day for exercise.

4.  Made all meals from scratch with items on hand.

5.  Making sure all lights are off in rooms not in use as well as heat turned off or down very low.

  2. A constant goal of mine is no food waste. And I like the feeling I get when I use up something like the dates in the orange bran muffins I made yesterday. I found a recipe for edamame hummus that will put the beans languishing in the freezer to good use. I still send Christmas greeting cards - I like to write and I like to receive something in the mail besides flyers and bills. I repurpose last year's cards into gift tags. I have been taking advantage of the mild winter weather with 2 mile walks. I walking to be so meditative as well as heart healthy.
